3 MONTHS OLD!!!

I can't believe my baby boy is 3 months old already!! It still seems like just yesterday that he was just a dream of ours! Oh how God has blessed us! He hasn't been to the Dr. since his 2 month appointment, but he's definitely getting bigger. Just today (Sunday) he was able to wear a pair of his 0-3 month jeans to church without them falling off when he's picked up! :) With the exception of today, he's been a pretty happy baby, crying only when he's hungry and tired. He's sleeping completely through the night (has been since 7 weeks old). Goes to bed about 8:30-9:00 and sleeps till 7 usually! It's WONDERFUL!! Especially since I'm starting back to work this week ( still on nights for now until I transfer to NICU ) so when I'm working day shift and have to get up at 5:00 I won't have been up with him 2 times during the night. Such a good boy :) When he's fussy he likes to be held upright over my shoulder and we have to be standing or walking around. He does NOT like being held like a baby or me sitting down! But he goes down for naps with no crying or just a minute of it. He's been trying to figure out what his hands can do. Looking at them and putting anything in his mouth (ex. fingers, bibs, shirts, etc). He likes to hold his bottle too. Now that he knows his hands are attached, he's working on noticing his feet. Learning something new everyday. Eating good too - between 6 and 7 ounces every 4 hours till bed. I think that's about it as far as updates. Daddy took Luke with him tonight and tomorrow down to the camp where they hunt....which will be kinda nice cause I can make sure and get plenty of sleep for my back to work alnighter tomorrow night! I'm really gonnna miss the little guy though :( Oh yeah, I now have a MySpace page as well (since you have to become a member to view others' pages). It is myspace.com/angelaestes621. I don't know how well I'll keep updated with it, especially going back to work, but it's at least started if you want to check it out.I don't think daddy's keeping a very good eye on me....

HAPPY EASTER!!

Happy Happy Easter to everyone!! What an important day! :) The first couple of pictures are just a few random ones from the last week or so. This weekend though was quite busy for us and Luke. Saturday afternoon was a baby shower for one of my childhood friends Amy. She is going to be having a little girl in June. After the shower Luke napped at Grandma and Grandpa Kandels and we went back over at 5:30 for a belated birthday celebration for mommy. We had delicious steaks, cheesy potatoes, green bean casserole, salad, and rolls...and for dessert, mandarin orange cake (which by the way, although it contains some mandarin oranges, it does not taste like mandarin oranges) Everything was quite yummy! We visited, opened presents, and played Apples to Apples. Luke went to bed there but we had to wake him up at 11:30 to go home :( Sunday we had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Estes and spent the day relaxing and watching golf/CAVS game. Luke took a nice long nap there too in the afternoon. My sissy Julie was home for the weekend which was very nice...but we missed aunt Heather!

2 MONTHS OLD!!

Hard to believe that our little guy is already 2 months old!! :) He hasn't really grown or changed THAT much to us...but that's cause we see him all the time!

He really likes the fishy that plays music and has just started to notice his relection in the mirror. He gets scared by it sometimes! Haha!


Here is mommy and Luke at his 1 and 1/2 hour check up. Here he is being a good boy! :)
He grew and inch and gained a pound. He is 10 lbs on the dot, and 23 inches long. His head is still tiny at 37.7 cm or 14.9 inches. So he fell in all the percentiles :( Down to 57th in length, 19th in weight, and 12th in head size. He's still just our little guy. Gonna bump up his feedings. Otherwise the Dr. says he's doing great. What a blessing. It was also the day to have all his shots. Poor little guy did SOO well. Clenched and cried some when they gave him all 4, but quieted down right away! He also had an oral vaccine for Rotavirus. So other than the time it took at the office, the visit was a success!

It was a long day. Mommy had me out from 9:30 till 7:30! My legs are sore from shots, I have to take a bath, and I'm hungry! Wouldn't you be crying too?

The only terribly eventful thing that happened this past week was the one nice day we had!! And the fact that Luke is most happy after he's eaten and I prop him up in his boppy :) Anyhow, other than a slight cold on my end, everyone else has remained healthy and daddy came home safely from Indiana. Yeah! Luke and I did pretty darn good by ourselves I must say :) I've posted some pictures too of Luke's finished nursery. I know that I had posted some part way through, but now it's done

Luke took his first walk in the park on Tuesday evening when it was so nice and warm outside. I like my cozy carrier, not this big open thing on wheels!

Although the crying stopped, this was the face majority of the time :) Luke and the outside will have to become friends.
