Been Awhile.....Luke's 4 Months Old ( well now 4 1/2!!)

Sorry it's been almost a month since I posted, but due to computer technical difficulties I was unable to. Praise the Lord we're up and running again with a new harddrive. Luke is 4 1/2 months now (which is so hard to believe). He's doing new things every day which is SOO much fun to watch! At his 4 month appointment that daddy and grandma Estes took him to (10 days AFTER he was 4 months) he was....
Weight - 13 lbs 6 oz -----------66th percentile
Length - 25 1/4 inches --------55th percentile
Head size - 42 cm -------------16th percentile
He got 4 more shots that he just cried for a minute when he got them and then stopped when daddy picked him up. The Dr. says he is just perfect, very impressed with how he holds his head up. He of course is at that stage of looking at EVERYTHING and trying to put EVERYTHING in his mouth! Still sleeping very well, except getting up a little earlier sometimes, around 6:30 or so....but he's ready to go back to bed by about 8:30 and of course mommy goes back to bed sometimes too! I'm in my new position in the NICU and really really like it. I've been working 4 days a week, Three 8 hr shifts and one 12 hour shift each week. Getting up at 5 am is not enjoyable, but it's nice to get home earlier. Luke has been eating some rice cereal and just started with some of the baby foods. We've had carrots and sweet potatoes so far. He was quite fond of the sweet potatoes as you will see in a picture. He's still just rolling from back to belly, and working on how to get back.....almost got it. Every night when we put him to bed, by 5 minutes later he's on his stomach and loves to sleep the whole night that way. He scoots to the top of the bed and buries his face in his bumper/blankets/burp cloth. He's making new sounds all the time....not just cooing anymore, but uses different voices, and letters for his "words" like "c" and "g". He smiles when he sees the puppies and reaches out to pet them. Anyhow, things are going very well and so glad the weather is beautiful and it is light out so late. It just puts us all in a better mood!
Having fun undressing :)

He LOVES to examine our faces and touch it while he's laying on his changing table. Here he is poking daddys eye out.

Eating some rice cereal....he much prefers it mixed with some apple juice. ( Hint from my mom)

All smiles :)

Mommy and Lukers one day after work.

We put together his exersaucer a couple of weeks ago and even though he's a little small for it still, he really likes to look at everything and start to reach for them. Have to put a blanket in front of him to help hold him upright!

Little naked boy after a bath :)

Never have gotten a naked butt picture yet, so I thought why not? Don't ya just wanna pinch it?

First time swimming. Daddy bought a little pool for the back yard and one hot evening we filled it and went for our first swim. As you can see by the face, he's not too sure about it! He did really well and didn't cry even though the water was pretty cold!

Before the swim he was smiling.....didn't know what was coming!

This was at Great Aunt Mim's house on Memorial Day. This was his first time in the "Big People's Pool". The water was only 78 degrees, but we were determined to go for a swim since it was such a nice day and don't know when we'd have the time again to go all together. Again, he was not super excited, but also didn't cry.

On his belly of course and having a ball.

Meeting his Great Grandma Hall (my mom's mom) for the first time as they just got back from their 9 month stay in Florida.

I swear he started off with this NOT over his face! I guess he thought the lights were too bright!

Flying in the air like a big boy!

Looking at daddy....and sayin "Come any closer and I'm gonna punch ya!"

The sweet potatoes! We did eventually get him cleaned up :) He ate the whole stinking jar at one sitting....his first time trying them. I'd say I think he likes em.

Luke was sorting the mail and deciding what bills he would pay. I was holding them in my hand while I was talking to him and he reached out for them so I said "sure, you just tell me which ones you'll be responsible for". Ended up he changed his mind and handed them back.

Where did my giraffe go?

Mommy, quit playing games!!
