Ooops......time got away!!

I usually open my post with all the goings on since the last time I blogged. However, seeing as how a month and a half has passed, I think I will describe each event as the pictures come. Overall though we are doing well. David is still on some medications for the Shingles with some intense itching sometimes, but is basically back to normal. You can still see the coloring division on his face but no more eye swelling and it is much less sensitive to light now. Praise the Lord he's feeling much better. Good enough to devote any of his spare time to cleaning/organizing our garage! We had so much crap in it that we couldn't put either vehicle in. Now we can fit both. There is still a little ways to go as far as actually organizing, but it's SOOO much better! Next is finishing the basement so David can begin finishing the one side. I CAN'T WAIT to have it done!! It will be a wonderful place for Luke to have his toys and a big space to play, as well as have the treadmill down there and the big screen TV with David's XBOX. I get sick of the living room being cluttered all the time with toys. Other than that, we are enjoying the weather emmensly and Luke loves to be outside chasing birds and walking/climbing around everywhere!

The man in his cool shades!!

Giving mommy kisses!!

Climbin on thw 4 wheeler. He likes to stand straight up on the seat or the fenders. Quite the daredevil!

Daddy decided to get Luke a Happy Meal one night and of course the prize was a tatoo!! I at first freaked out when I got home from work, but then as I watched him run around in his jeans and bare arms with it, all he needed was a motorcycle! It's a Pirates of the Caribbean tattoo.

Watching the birds in the neighbors yard.

Another day, another window, same birds :)

These were the flowers on our Azalea bush.....it only had bloomed for about 2 1/2 weeks. It goes by WAY too quickly!

A picture of the bush from afar :)

The next group of pictures is from David's fathers surprise 50th birthday party! He is the last of the grandparent's to hit the milestone and they threw him a big ol party with a ton of family and church friends. April 26th was the big day!

Luke thoroughly enjoyed the cake!

Me and my honey! You can see the discoloration on the upper left side of his face :(

The shirt we painted just for Grandpa. "Happy 50th Birthday Gumpy" Gumpy is grandpa Estes' given name since before Luke was even born. It started out as a joke, but obviously has stuck!

Lukers wishing grandpa a very happy birthday!

Aunt Dana making Luke go upside down!

Dana and me....we don't get to see each other often enough, that's for sure!

Another picture of the coolest guy in town with grandma's sunglasses!

A present from Aunt Dana that she bought in Honduras on their mission trip. It's a colorful little duck/bird that flaps it's wings when you push it. Luke absolutely LOVES to play with it. Inside or out. This picture it was nearly 11pm and he was outside taking it all over the place. This kid was the life of the party....smiling and laughing till he zonked out on the ride home!

A little treat to top off the party! Daddy teaching bad habits already!!

Goin for a ride in the wheelbarrow.

This is what happens when you let your child feed himself yogurt!

Definitely called for a bath afterwards!

The next group of pics is from the wonderfully fun graduation celebration in Toledo for my baby sissy Julie and brother in law David. Julie graduated as a middle childhood teacher and David with his degree as a pharmacist! You can officially call him Dr. !

The UT seal...wasn't sure if I'd get a good pic of it cause we were sitting SOO far back, but after experimenting with about 20 settings I found one that worked pretty well!!

The BEAUTIFUL graduate!!

Before graduation the WHOLE family (David Brights dad and sister too) met at Carabba's for dinner. Lukers was a pretty good boy. He got restless at first and we walked around outside and then he was okay. As long as we were shoveling food in his mouth he was a good boy! I think he had about 4 or 5 pieces of bread, and then his spaghetti and broccoli. To top it off he ate a lemon! Weirdo loved it!

The future Mr. and Mrs Corbett!

The 3 sissy's!! It was great to have everyone together. My parents and David, me and Luke stayed at Heather and Davids. Their apt is really nice and well decorated ;)

Congratulations David and Juju!

Grandma and Grandpa Kandel made the rainy trip up as well! First time we'd seen them since they left for Florida at Christmas!

Luke made a real connection with Liz Bright (David's sister). Watch out ladies!

Luke had woken up about 11:30ish from sleeping in the other room. He really wanted to party with us. Grandpa was eating his piggies. We all went to bed around 1:30am.

While we were up for graduation I had to try and fit in a visit with my maid of honor and ex roomie Amanda! She had her son Samson exactly a week after Luke. I hadn't seen her since her wedding in July of 2004. Needless to say our visit was LONG overdue!!! We got to spend about an hour and a half together on Saturday. It was wonderful just to see one another and the boys. We'll definitely have to schedule another visit sometime in the near future...perhaps after their move to the Columbus area!!

Little Samson......look at those big blue eyes!

Luke playing with Sammy's toys.

This is one of my favorite pictures. A rainy day with a little boy who wanted to go outside :(

After the azalea stopped blooming, our crabapple started!

Since I was a little girl, I've always LOVED pictures of flowers! Our tree is beautiful! Attracts a buttload of bumblebees though! :(

Climbing up and down, up and down the deck stairs.

The shirt...oh so true! (ignore the lovely tire in the background. We are using it for the time being to block an exit that Abby can escape from!) We are not posh, but not hillbillies either :)

I spent a Monday detailing the inside of my beyond dirty JEEP. I think it was about 2 years overdue. Somebody thinks they're 16!

Mother's Day weekend we had a wedding to go to. The bride was also a graduate of Toledo but we know her from our church. Roni Gay and Justin Romanko were married on May 10, 2008. Here are a few pics from the event.

Another flower pic of course. The bushes outside the church were in full bloom!

My wonderful parents!!

Me and Juju!

Heather and her Dr. husband :) Their 2 year anniversary is coming up on the 20th!! Can't believe it!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Me and my imaginary date! David was home with Luke.

My sad face when there was no one to slow dance with :( Jon took pitty on me and treated me to a dance later though. Thanks Jon!!

Jon and Julie...they're getting married June 27th next year!!

Our family gathered together on Mother's Day afternoon at the Quarry's Golf Club for a buffet lunch dinner for my grandma. We had a nice time and Luke was a very good boy. He ate his food and then sat down with my sisters and grandma and put on a show! HAPPY BELATED MOTHER'S DAY to all who have little ones!

Gettin cozy with Aunt Juju.

Doodle bug and grandma sharing some time together.

Luke has discovered that he likes taking all the pillows off the couch and laying them in a line on the floor. Strange child!

Finding them quite comfy!

Showing me his big belly. His given Indian name is "Big Belly Little Butt". He looks like a WV old man who just "had a few"

"To whom am I speaking?"
