It's definitely been awhile since I've updated Luke's blog, so here we go! It's August and let me say I feel for you teachers and students out there that are going to be heading back to school....well kinda :) Luke turned 6 months old on July 21 and he had his first professional photo shoot. It went pretty well and we got some good shots. The fam has to decide which ones they want and when we purchase them I'll be able to post them. It was in fact that day we found out that Luke could actually sit up by himself. He sat up during two of the outfit changes and I was amazed :) He's still working on perfecting it though. We had gotten him a jumper that hangs from the doorway and he absolutely LOVES it. He'll spend hours at a time in it, even when he's tired! Good exercise too! In fact when you hold him all he does is bend his legs like he's bouncing. It's also so fun to see him so much more interactive with his exersaucer....pushing the buttons, pulling things, and still of course trying to put everything in his mouth. He loves to play peek-a-boo and leans over his changing table looking for us crouching down. He laughs when he's tickled and smiles when he sees himself in the mirror. He's definitely a growing boy. He doesn't have his 6 month apt until Aug 16, so we'll see how much he weighs and how tall he is. I'll bet he's 15 lbs 7 oz and 26 inches long. Luke is getting dedicated tomorrow at church and a lot of family is coming to be with us as we promise to raise our son in the way of the Lord. I'm sure I'll have pictures to share! I think that's about it for now. As usual I have a ton of pictures! Sorry if they bore you!
Such a handsome little face! Just wanna pinch his cheeks!
Goofy look :)
Laughing at Daddy.
The infamous jumper!
The 4th of July with Great Great Uncle John. They had nearly matching hats on.
Aunt Mim and Uncle John have a beautiful pool and Luke was all ready to hop in with his suit and shades!
Enjoying mommy's iced coffee....I don't think the plastic tastes quite as yummy as the drink did!
His big ol high chair makes him look so small! Nice face!
Luke sleeping sideways in bed...looking so sweet and innocent. (colored pencil print)

Cute in plaid!
Another more recent development is that he now loves to play with his feet and of course...PUT THEM IN HIS MOUTH!
Worn out after a long days work......I mean of sitting around doing nothing!
Luke had been swimming on Mem Day and the 4th of July and really didn't seem to enjoy himself that much, never smiling or doing anything. But we went back on Wed with Grandma Kandel and he had an absolute BLAST! He got in and right away started kicking and splashing! I was so happy he loved it!
Closely examining the beach ball before putting it IN HIS MOUTH!
Break time for a 20 minute nap and a bottle
Then it was back to swimming for another hour and a half. Daddy came and met us after work.

Taking only that 20 minute nap took it's toll as Luke was zonked within 2 minutes of the ride home. Such a cutie pie and a really good boy that day!
